A Multiple Location Wedding Adds a Special Element to Your Day

Church wedding ceremonies are simply timeless and it’s always a treat being invited to photograph them. There’s a sense of wonder and tradition that is unique to a church wedding, and I love the history and elegance that is found within these spaces.

Caitlin and Erik had a beautiful ceremony at St. Francis church in Sonoma, followed by a reception at a beloved local winery. It was such a lovely combination of a quiet and powerful  space, followed by the serene, romantic setting of the vineyards.

The dramatic mountain backdrop of the reception created a gorgeous natural surrounding for additional photos. We made sure to take a walk through the vineyard for some stunning bride and groom shots as well.

It’s not uncommon to hop from one location to another for a wedding, and this makes for a lot of fun when photographing the event. I especially love how the church ceremony felt so profound and intimate, while the reception was more lively and energetic. It was the perfect balance and the whole event was full of love.

If you’re contemplating a church wedding, take a look at this stunning event for some inspiration.
