YOUR WEDDING EXPERIENCE

Your wedding day is a collection of moments you’ll never experience quite the same way again. The people who raised you, the friends who shaped you, the place you chose, and the story that brought you here all gathered in one space for one unforgettable day.

It’s the big moments, yes. But it’s also the in-between. The deep breath before walking down the aisle. The squeeze of a hand. The familiar laughter of the people you love most. The way the day moves so quickly around you.

My role is to preserve it all with care and a calm, steady presence while making the experience feel easy, fun, and fully supported. From our first conversation to the final dance, I’m here with good energy, clear communication, and excellent service so you can stay present and soak it all in.

Because the best photographs happen when you feel comfortable enough to let go and simply live it. That’s where the real magic lives.

My Approach

I believe the best wedding photographs begin long before the wedding day itself.

From our very first conversation to the final moments of your wedding day, my approach is rooted in connection, trust, and making sure you feel fully supported through it all.

In the weeks leading up to your wedding, I take time to get to know you, your people, and what matters most to you. We’ll talk through the flow of the day, build a timeline together, and create space for the moments you want most while leaving room for the unexpected magic in between.

When the day arrives, I’m there as more than just your photographer. I’m a calm presence, a guide when needed, and someone who knows when to step in and when to step back. Whether it’s helping with family portraits, keeping things on track, or simply making space for you to be present, my goal is always the same: for you to feel comfortable, cared for, and able to soak it all in.

Because wedding days move fast.

And so much of what makes them beautiful lives in the in-between. The deep breath before you walk down the aisle. The way your partner looks at you when no one else notices. The tears, the laughter, the hugs, the hands held tight. Those quiet, honest moments are often the ones that end up meaning the most.

That’s what I’m always watching for.

Weddings are such a beautiful gathering of love, hope, history, and connection. They bring together people who may not have shared a room in years. They create space for healing, celebration, laughter, and new beginnings. There’s something incredibly powerful about that.

And when the day is over and time keeps moving, what remains are the photographs.

The proof of how it felt.
The people who were there.
The promises you made.
The joy you shared.

My hope is that years from now, when memories soften and life changes, your photographs will bring you right back to it all. Not just how it looked, but how deeply it was felt.

"We absolutely loved working with Holly and her team! From the moment she arrived, she brought such incredible energy that made everyone feel comfortable and excited."

Personal Touches

What Matters Most

At the end of it all, my goal is simple: to give you photographs that feel like your memories.

Because when will all these people you love be together in one place again? This moment is rare, meaningful, and worth remembering well.

With clear communication, thoughtful guidance, good energy, and a little humor along the way, my goal is to make the experience feel easy, joyful, and true to you.

The best photographs start with connection. Before the wedding day, I take time to understand your story, your people, and what matters most to you. This helps me photograph your day in a way that feels honest, personal, and true to who you are.

A great wedding day doesn’t happen by accident. From timeline support to family photo lists and all the little details in between, I help create a clear plan so everything feels organized, smooth, and stress-free.

On your wedding day, I bring more than a camera. I bring good energy, experience, and a steady hand. I know when to step in, keep things moving, make people laugh, and help everyone feel comfortable. My goal is to create ease so you can stay fully present and enjoy every part of your day.

Long after the day is over, your images become part of your family’s story. I focus on creating timeless, true-to-life photographs that hold both the big celebrations and the quieter moments in between—images you’ll come back to for decades.

Q + A

Frequently Asked Questions

I know choosing a photographer comes with a lot of questions, and honestly, it should. Your wedding or session is deeply personal, and you deserve to feel confident not only in the photos themselves, but in the experience of working together. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about my approach, photography style, timelines, delivery process, and what it’s actually like to have me document your day. If there’s anything you don’t see here, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to help.

Editing Style
My editing style is clean, refined, and made to last. I stay true to natural color, honest skin tones, and the atmosphere of your day without leaning into heavy filters or trends that won’t age well. The goal is simple: when you look back at your images years from now, they still feel just as meaningful and true to how it all felt.

Think natural, polished, and timeless.

Shooting Style
My approach is rooted in a balance of observation and guidance. I’m always watching for the in-between moments as they unfold naturally, while stepping in when needed to create ease and direction, especially during portraits. And yes, I’ll absolutely tell you what to do with your hands.

The result is a collection filled with honest emotion, natural connection, the energy of the dance floor, and the family portraits that will matter for generations. Nothing overly posed, nothing performative, just a genuine reflection of your day as it happened.

I’m heading into my 7th year photographing weddings and typically photograph around 15 weddings per year.

I intentionally keep my calendar limited so every couple receives my full attention, energy, and creativity. Weddings are a big deal and I treat them that way.

I have a very organized system after every wedding and session to make sure your images are safe and delivered as quickly as possible.

Before I even start editing, your photos are backed up in multiple places including professional hard drives and secure cloud storage through Backblaze. Your memories are protected from the moment I get home.

Wedding timeline

  • Sneak peek gallery: 2 weeks after your wedding
  • Full gallery delivery: around 6 weeks (the contract allows up to 8 weeks just in case)

Engagements and portrait sessions

  • Delivered within 2 to 3 weeks

Your images arrive in a beautiful online gallery where you can download, share with family, and order professional prints directly.

Every meaningful image from your session or wedding day is included in your final gallery.

I believe your story deserves to be told fully, so rather than narrowing it down to only a select few, I deliver all of the strongest moments that help reflect the day as it unfolded. During the editing process, I remove blinks, missed focus, duplicates, and test frames, but the real moments, big and small, stay.

That means if there are multiple beautiful frames of a moment, like a laugh, a hug, or a kiss, you’ll receive them. Often it’s the subtle differences in those frames that make them worth keeping.

Here’s a general idea of what most galleries include:

Full wedding days (8+ hours): around 1,00 to 2,000+ images depending on coverage and whether a second photographer is included

Micro weddings and elopements: approximately 400 to 600 images

Engagement sessions: approximately 100 to 125 images

Every image is thoughtfully edited in my signature true-to-color, natural, and timeless style.

While the decision is completely yours, I often recommend a second photographer for weddings with larger guest counts, multiple locations, or full wedding weekends. Having a second photographer allows for more coverage, more flexibility, and more moments captured as the day unfolds.

A second photographer can help document:

• both partners getting ready at the same time
• multiple ceremony angles and reactions
• cocktail hour moments while portraits are happening
• additional candid interactions and details throughout the day

I work with a small circle of experienced photographers I trust deeply and who align with my approach. Each wedding is matched with the right fit based on the flow of the day and the coverage needed.

Every photographer I bring in is someone I’d trust to photograph my own wedding, professional, talented, and excellent with people. My goal is always to build the right team so your day is covered with care from every angle.

Yes. Absolutely.

A few weeks before your wedding, I’ll send over a short questionnaire so I can understand the flow of your day and the moments that matter most to you.

From there I help guide the timeline for photography, including when to schedule portraits, family photos, and golden hour. My goal is always to keep the day feeling relaxed while making sure we capture everything beautifully.

Golden Hour is the hour before sunset when the light becomes soft, warm, and incredibly flattering.

It’s hands down the best time for romantic portraits. The light glows, the background softens, and couples often get a quiet moment together away from the crowd.

These are very often the photos couples end up printing for their walls.

While I photograph many weddings throughout Sonoma County, Napa Valley, and the Mendocino Coast, I regularly travel for weddings across California and beyond.

If you are planning a destination celebration, reach out and we can talk through the details.

Yes. I carry full professional liability insurance and can provide documentation to venues if needed.

I shoot with Canon R6 Mark III and II mirrorless cameras and a lineup of professional Canon L series lenses including the 24–70mm, 70–200mm, 85mm, 100mm, and 50mm.

I also use Profoto A series flashes, both on camera and off camera, which allow me to create beautiful lighting whether we are outdoors at sunset or on a packed dance floor after dark.

For couples who love a little nostalgia and texture, I also offer 35mm film photography using classic Canon film cameras. Film adds a soft, organic feel that many couples love mixed into their gallery alongside digital images.

My assistant is also trained to help with lighting, reflectors, and wrangling family members for portraits so everything stays smooth and stress free.
