One of the many treasures of being a photographer in Sonoma County is the wide range of possible venues. From wineries, to backyards, to farms, to the beach – we are surrounded by a myriad of breathtaking backdrops for capturing life’s special moments. A stunning nearby location is Dillon Beach . The Northern California coast is a setting unlike any other. It’s a bit moody and dramatic with its fog and deep blue waters, while the sand and tall pampas grass add a soft, natural feel.
Beachside weddings are so romantic. The connection to nature, and digging your toes into the sand takes a formal, milestone moment and turns it into something more personal and intimate. It reminds us of why we’re all gathered together: to celebrate a simple yet profound act of love. Amy and Dave chose Dillon Beach for their late August wedding and it was incredible. The cool breeze coming off the water was a welcome guest in the heat of the summer. The succulent and eucalyptus floral arrangements were a beautiful ode to the beach setting, and the green bridesmaids dresses created a rich pop of color next to the warm sand.
With a backdrop as breathtaking as Dillon Beach, there’s not much need for dressing up the venue. It’s hard to beat the lush greens and earthy browns and sapphire blues of an ocean setting.
