As a photographer, it’s easy to get lumped into the category of couples/families/weddings. But, there are so many other special events and moments that we love to photograph. It is such a blast to witness rituals and ceremonies that may be different from our own.
I shot the lovely Isabella Reed on her quinceañera in February, and it was an amazing experience. Her gown was gorgeous, the church ceremony was beautiful, and the celebration afterwards was a party! There were flowers and cakes and dancing, and the rich history of the ritual was celebrated by all.
It is a true privilege to be invited into peoples lives and to help share their stories through my photographs. I still can’t believe that this is my job! I love being immersed in the myriad of events I shoot, and I am so thankful for my clients.
