I recently had the privilege of shooting at a new-to-me venue in Mendocino, and it sure made a lasting impression. Of course, the stunning bride and groom were a big part of that. But, I love when a new venue really ‘wows’ me, and the Mountain House Estate did just that.
As a visual storyteller, I’m always on the lookout for great photo ops. Whether it’s a vineyard or hillside backdrop, a hip city street, or a rustic barn – I love finding creative places to take photos. The Mountain House Estate is brimming with possibilities and it was so much fun exploring each and every one.
Stella and Darren dreamed up the most gorgeous wedding, and it came to life on a perfect September day. The seasons were just beginning to transition from Summer to Fall, and the warm sunlight gave a magical glow to the ceremony held in the Oak Terrace.
The reception was held on the patio with music and dancing in the Grand Ballroom. This flow between the indoor/outdoor areas allowed guests to savor the late summer evening and created different spaces for friends and family to gather.
There were so many awesome details to this wedding that made it such a memorable day. I loved the guestbook puzzle, the champagne tower, and The Chairman food truck. I’m so grateful I got to be a part of Stella and Darren’s special day!
