I recently had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Stanly Ranch, and I would absolutely love to be back! There are so many great places to photograph throughout the property, and knowing the layout and the light makes a big difference when keeping the day relaxed and moving smoothly.
My photography is natural, timeless, and true to color with a mix of candid moments and beautiful portraits. Nothing overly staged or complicated. I keep things fun, calm, and easy while making sure we get the photos that matter most.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at STANLY RANCH
Stanly Ranch is unlike any other wedding venue in Napa Valley.
Stanly Ranch gives you SO much to work with without ever having to leave the property. Vineyards, wide open fields, gorgeous modern architecture, winding pathways, beautiful landscaping, and those big Napa Valley views. You can walk five minutes and completely change the look and feel of your photos.
One of my favorite things about Stanly Ranch is that it feels elevated but still relaxed. It’s luxurious, yes, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or overly formal. Everything flows beautifully from getting ready to the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, which means less running around and more time actually enjoying your wedding.
And then there’s golden hour. Napa Valley knows how to show off, and Stanly Ranch gives us plenty of open space to take advantage of that gorgeous evening light. Sneak away for 15 minutes, wander through the property with me, get some killer photos, and then head right back to your people and your party.
If you want a Napa Valley wedding that feels modern, relaxed, beautiful, and a little different from the traditional winery wedding, Stanly Ranch is such a good one.

Maddie and Michael’s wedding at Stanly Ranch in Napa Valley was relaxed, beautiful, and such a good time from beginning to end.
Their day had everything I love photographing. A gorgeous setting, their favorite people all in one place, lots of laughter, beautiful details, great food, and a dance floor that definitely did not disappoint.
One of my favorite parts of photographing at Stanly Ranch is how much variety we have without having to go anywhere. We could wander from the modern architecture to the vineyards and open landscape and create completely different looks within minutes. And when that Napa Valley golden hour kicked in, you better believe we took advantage of it!
Maddie and Michael were able to actually enjoy their wedding while I documented everything happening around them. The big moments, the little ones, the people they love, and all the fun in between.
Their wedding was my first time photographing at Stanly Ranch, and I left already wanting to come back. It’s modern, relaxed, beautiful, and gives us SO much to work with photographically. Definitely one of those Napa Valley wedding venues I’d happily photograph again and again.

The lush manicured lawn, colorful flowers, greenery, and trellised ceremony area create beautiful natural layers for photographs. The Garden House adds another gorgeous element with its large windows, warm wood tones, fireplace, and abundance of natural light. With both spaces right next to each other, there’s so much variety for portraits without having to venture far around the property.
Glasshouse Barn + Glasshouse Terrace
The Glasshouse Barn and Glasshouse Terrace are stunning spaces to photograph, with floor to ceiling panoramic windows that fill the space with beautiful natural light while keeping the surrounding vineyards and hills in view. The terrace opens up to gorgeous views of the Mayacamas Mountains and is especially beautiful around sunset. From reception details and candid cocktail hour moments to nighttime portraits and wide shots that showcase the architecture, there are endless opportunities for beautiful photographs throughout the celebration.
Planning Your STANLY Wedding
Your Timeline
A well-planned timeline at Stanly Ranch gives you the freedom to enjoy your wedding day while also taking advantage of everything this beautiful Napa Valley property has to offer.
Because there are so many incredible locations throughout the ranch, I recommend building a little breathing room into your photography timeline rather than trying to squeeze everything into one short portrait window.
- Consider a First Look. This gives us time for couple portraits before the ceremony and allows us to explore locations like the Cutting Garden, vineyards, or Infinity Hill without pulling you away from your guests later in the day.
- Plan 30 to 45 minutes for immediate family portraits. The Cutting Garden and surrounding areas provide beautiful, convenient backdrops for family photographs without having everyone travel across the property.
- Allow 20 to 30 minutes for wedding party photographs. Stanly Ranch offers so much variety that we can create several different looks within a relatively short amount of time.
- Save 15 to 20 minutes around golden hour. This is one of my favorite times to sneak away for portraits. Infinity Hill is especially beautiful as the light softens over the vineyards and surrounding Napa Valley hills.
- Give yourselves time to enjoy cocktail hour. If your cocktail hour is at the Garden House or Glasshouse Terrace, both spaces photograph beautifully and allow me to capture candid moments with your guests while you actually get to enjoy the celebration.
- Consider a few blue hour or nighttime portraits. The Glasshouse Barn, Terrace, and Infinity Hill take on an entirely different look once the sun goes down and can give you a handful of dramatic photographs to finish out your gallery.
Most importantly, you don’t need to photograph every beautiful corner of Stanly Ranch. I would rather choose a few incredible locations, work with the best light, and give you time to actually experience your wedding day than have you rushing from one photo location to the next.
