If you’re searching for a Stanly Ranch wedding photographer, Napa Valley wedding photographer, or a photographer who captures timeless, joyful weddings with genuine moments and beautiful natural light, welcome. I’m Holly B Rose, and this gorgeous summer wedding at Stanly Ranch by Auberge Resorts is one I’m so excited to share.
Although many couples search for “Stanly Ranch Wedding Photographer,” the venue is officially Stanly Ranch, one of Napa Valley’s most stunning luxury wedding destinations. Nestled on hundreds of acres between Napa and Sonoma, it’s a venue that blends modern architecture, rolling vineyards, towering eucalyptus trees, and wide open skies into one unforgettable setting.
On August 1, 2026, Maddie and Michael gathered their closest family and friends for a wedding that was simple, elegant, timeless, and overflowing with love. It was one of those days that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.

A Warm Summer Wedding at Stanly Ranch
Like many Napa Valley weddings in August, it was a warm afternoon. Thankfully, Stanly Ranch offers beautiful shaded spaces that become an absolute gift during summer weddings. The light filters through the trees beautifully, creating soft, flattering portraits while keeping everyone comfortable.
From the moment I arrived, there was an energy that felt relaxed and joyful. Guests were laughing, champagne was flowing, hugs were everywhere, and everyone seemed genuinely excited to celebrate these two incredible humans.

A Couple You Couldn’t Help But Love
Some couples have a way of making everyone around them smile.
That was Maddie and Michael.
They’re both incredibly kind, effortlessly stylish, ridiculously photogenic, and completely in love. The way they looked at one another throughout the day made photographing them feel effortless. Every smile was genuine. Every embrace felt natural. Every photograph reflected exactly who they are together.
Those are my favorite weddings.
Not because everything is perfectly styled, but because the connection is real.

Their First Look at the Infinity Sculpture
One of my favorite moments happened before guests arrived.
We met near Stanly Ranch’s beautiful Infinity sculpture for their first look.
As Michael turned around and saw Maddie for the first time, the entire world seemed to disappear for a few minutes. The gentle breeze moved through the trees while these two simply soaked in the moment together.
No audience.
No distractions.
Just the beginning of their wedding day.
Those quiet moments often become some of my favorite photographs because they’re filled with emotion that can’t be staged.

Why I Love Photographing Welcome Dinners
One thing that made this wedding day especially smooth actually happened the evening before.
I photographed Maddie and Michael’s welcome dinner, which allowed me to meet parents, siblings, grandparents, and many of the wedding party before the wedding day even began.
This is one of the reasons I love offering welcome dinner coverage.
When family portraits begin, I’m no longer introducing myself to strangers. I already know names, personalities, and family dynamics, making everything move faster while keeping the atmosphere light and relaxed.
Instead of feeling like another item on the timeline, family portraits become another enjoyable part of the celebration.

Beautiful Fashion with Timeless Style
The wedding party looked absolutely incredible.
The bridesmaids wore elegant green silk dresses that photographed beautifully against Stanly Ranch’s clean architecture and natural landscape.
One bridesmaid wore a gorgeous floral dress that complemented the rest of the group perfectly. It added just enough variety while keeping everything cohesive and sophisticated.
Sometimes it’s those small design choices that elevate an entire wedding gallery.

A Ceremony Filled with Joy
Guests gathered with champagne in hand as the six o’clock ceremony began.
There wasn’t anything overproduced about the ceremony.
It was simply heartfelt.
Friends wiping away tears.
Parents smiling from ear to ear.
Laughter.
Happy tears.
Two people promising forever while surrounded by everyone who loves them most.
Those are the moments that matter.

Why Having a Photography Team Makes Such a Difference
While I photographed extended family portraits after the ceremony, my incredible team was busy documenting everything happening around us.
One photographer captured cocktail hour as guests mingled, laughed, and celebrated.
Another photographed the beautiful reception details inside the stunning Glass House before guests entered.
By working together, we’re able to tell the complete story of your wedding day.
When my couples receive their gallery, they don’t just relive the moments they experienced. They also get to see everything they missed while they were busy getting married.

The Glass House Reception
One of the things I love most about Stanly Ranch weddings is the Glass House reception space.
The clean architectural lines, expansive windows, and indoor outdoor design create an elegant atmosphere while still feeling warm and inviting.
Every thoughtful detail reflected Maddie and Michael’s style beautifully, from the floral arrangements to the carefully curated tablescapes.
It’s a photographer’s dream.

A Second Dress and Golden Hour Magic
Before dinner, Maddie slipped away for a quick outfit change.
Her second dress was stunning.
A sleek silk gown with a softly draped neckline and delicate buttons cascading down the back. It felt timeless, modern, and effortlessly elegant.
Then we snuck away for golden hour.
This is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day.
The timeline slows down.
The nerves are gone.
The ceremony is over.
The couple finally gets a few quiet minutes together while Napa Valley glows in the evening light.
Those portraits become some of the most treasured photographs in every gallery.

Dancing Under the Napa Sky
The celebration continued with a lively grand entrance, heartfelt toasts, emotional speeches, dinner, cake cutting, and one packed dance floor.
To end the evening, we gathered every single guest together for one enormous dance floor photograph.
Thankfully, I never leave home without my ladder.
With so many guests and quite a few very tall family members, a little extra height was definitely required.
The laughter while everyone squeezed together made for one of my favorite images from the night.
