This sweet morning started just before sunrise, when the park is quiet, calm, and wrapped in soft golden light. What Stephany didn’t know was that this wasn’t just another one of their traditional anniversary walks… it was the walk.
A Proposal Four Years in the Making
For the past four years, Stephany and Michael have celebrated their relationship with morning walks around Spring Lake — the place where they had their very first date, sitting together on a simple bench overlooking the water.
So when Michael reached out to me and told me he wanted to propose on that exact bench, my heart melted. He had just picked the most gorgeous ring and wanted this moment to feel thoughtful, personal, and true to who they are.
I arrived early, tucked in the bushes (yes… the glamorous life of a proposal photographer 🤣), camera ready for the moment.
She Said YES!
When they reached the bench, Michael paused, took her hands, and dropped to one knee. Stephany’s reaction was the sweetest burst of emotion — happy tears, laughter, and that beautiful mix of surprise + “I knew he was my future.”
I photographed everything from a distance so the moment stayed completely uninterrupted and intimate. Once she said YES, their friends popped out from around the corner to celebrate — another layer of surprise! The joy was contagious.
And of course, their adorable pup joined in for some of the cutest family-of-three photos ever.

After the proposal, we wandered through Spring Lake’s trails, stopping by their favorite spots — the water’s edge, the tall trees, and the wide open fields. Morning light here is absolutely magic and created the dreamiest glow for their post-proposal portraits.
These two were radiant. Soft, natural, and so connected — which is exactly the type of proposal photography I love to deliver: real emotion, genuine reactions, and timeless images you’ll cherish for decades.
