Before the wedding bands and vows are exchanged, there is this beautiful season of engagement. The nerves of the proposal are behind you, and the wedding day is still a somewhat distant date on the calendar. You’re in this blissful moment where you get to show off your shiny engagement ring and talk about your “fiancé” all day long.
This is one of my favorite times to photograph a couple. There are no proposal or wedding day jitters. There are no interruptions or distractions. It’s all about the shiny engagement rings and fiancés. I think it’s important to find a location that matches this vibrant energy when I do engagement sessions. And, here in Sonoma County we’re lucky to be surrounded by some of the most magnificent photo ops in California.
I shot two engagement sessions recently, and each location and couple were simply stunning. Stephanie and Chris chose Crane Creek Regional Park, and Tiffany and Kellen chose Helen Putnam Regional Park. Both locations are surrounded by grassy meadows, rolling hills, and majestic oak trees. Time it during golden or blue hour, and you’ve got the most remarkable photos to celebrate your upcoming nuptials.
Thank you to these two lovely couples for allowing me to photograph this special time.
