When families ask me where to do their next session, I always say: go somewhere that feels like you. For this sweet family, that meant rolling through tall grass, climbing on old tractors, cuddling baby chicks, and laughing with alpacas. Because that’s just a regular day on the farm at home — and that’s the kind of magic I love to capture.
As a Sonoma County family photographer, I get to witness so many versions of what home looks like. For this crew, home is muddy boots, sunshine in your hair, goats underfoot, and a whole lot of heart.
What I love about farm sessions is how easy it is to let go — to forget about the camera and just play. These moments weren’t posed. They were real. A little wild, a little messy, and absolutely perfect.
We spent golden hour chasing light and giggles, swinging daughters into the sky, and soaking in all the joy that comes with slowing down and being together. Whether they were sitting in the grass, hugging by the gate, or proudly showing off freshly hatched chicks, every moment was filled with connection.
If you’re dreaming of a session that feels more like a memory than a photoshoot, I’d love to help bring it to life. Whether you have a farm, a backyard full of chickens, or just a desire to let your kids run free — I’m here for it.
