Paradise Ridge Winery | The Best Stunning Wedding With Rain

Last April, I had the honor of photographing Cori and Justin’s wedding at Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa. The forecast? Rain. The vibe? Unshakably joyful. Despite the wet weather, we embraced the elements and created a gallery full of heart, elegance, and laughter—and it turned out to be one of my favorite weddings to date.

Why Paradise Ridge Winery Is a Dream Wedding Venue

From the rust-hued LOVE sculpture to the sweeping views of Sonoma County, Paradise Ridge Winery offers a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern romance. Even with moody spring skies, the vibrant wildflowers, sculptural art, and golden-hued architecture made for stunning backdrops all day long.

A Rainy Day Pivot: From Patio to Cozy Deck Ceremony

Originally, Cori and Justin had planned to exchange vows on the spacious outdoor patio overlooking the vineyards—a dream setup with sweeping views of Sonoma County. But as the rain rolled in, we made a quick and thoughtful pivot to the covered deck space.

Working Around the Weather

Rain can feel like the last thing a couple wants on their wedding day—but with the right team and mindset, it becomes part of the magic. Cori and Justin’s flexibility and trust gave us the freedom to capture some incredible moments, from cozy indoor getting-ready shots to a beautifully lit ceremony under shelter, surrounded by friends, family, and heartfelt vows.

And yes—we snuck outside between the sprinkles to grab some golden hour-style portraits along the winery paths. The misty hills and colorful blooms made everything feel fresh, alive, and wildly romantic.
