One of my favorite moments as a photographer is when a client and a location totally vibe together. We will always capture lots of beautiful photos no matter where we shoot. But, every once in a while a location matches a client so perfectly it’s as though the stars have aligned. This was the feeling for my branding session with musician, Ella Harp. Ella is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter who designed both a harp and a banjo, which she beautifully incorporates into her signature sound.
Ella and I met at the Sutro Baths in the Lands End area of San Francisco. This historical site is a well-known landmark, and the remains of what was once an ocean pool aquarium are a popular place to visit for both locals and tourists alike. They also make a rad location for photos! Ella’s natural beauty and the delicate string instruments were such a perfect contrast to the rough, concrete ruins of the baths. This setting was such a fun spot to photograph, and it allowed Ella’s style and personality to really shine through.
