Mother Nature Doesn’t Always Cooperate. But That Only Makes The Story More Special

Being in the event industry, you learn to pivot and adapt quickly. Life happens, things get forgotten, sometimes Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. I have learned that rolling with the punches is a required job skill for a photographer.

I shot a beautiful, intimate wedding in Forestville recently, and this was one of those events where the weather had a mind of its own. We had gorgeous sunlight one moment, and drizzly rain the next. Some might be frustrated by this drastic change, but I find that it adds to the story and often makes an event even more joyful.

Thankfully my clients, Julia and Willow, were equally adaptable and they didn’t let the unpredictable weather dampen their spirits. Their smiles were bright and their big day was truly magical. The gorgeous surroundings had a dewy glow that added to the breathtaking backdrop.
