Planning your engagement session is one of the first steps towards wedding planning, and it is such a special time. This moment deserves to be celebrated, and you will look back on the professional photos for years to come.
Here are three tips to help keep your session stress free:
Choosing a venue shouldn’t be stressful. This session is about the excitement of the proposal. It’s not meant to be a time where you’re feeling overwhelmed with decision making. So, keep it simple when choosing a venue. If you have somewhere meaningful to the two of you – let’s shoot there! If not, you can always ask me for suggestions.
Don’t overthink your wardrobe. While I do think engagement sessions are a great opportunity to switch up the jeans and t-shirt look, it’s more important that you are comfortable and feel like yourself. Choose an outfit you feel good wearing, and try to complement the colors in your partner’s look.
Ideas are always welcome! In the age of Pinterest and social media, we’re finding inspiration every time we open our phones. If you see a pose or specific image that you want to recreate – don’t hesitate to share it with me! This is your shoot, and I love seeing what trends/styles speak to you.
