A Little Film, Too

Digital photography has always been the heart of my work and will continue to be how I document the majority of your wedding day or session. But recently, I picked up a couple of vintage film cameras, started experimenting with 35mm film, and pretty quickly understood why people fall in love with it.

There is something about film that just feels different. The grain, the color, the little imperfections and the anticipation of waiting to see what comes back. It has become such a fun addition to the way I photograph.

I currently love shooting Kodak Portra 400 for color and Ilford XP2 Super 400 for black and white. Film can be added to wedding coverage, couples and engagement sessions, senior portraits, families and other sessions throughout Sonoma County, Napa Valley and the Mendocino Coast.

I will always primarily be a digital photographer, so I think of film as something extra. A little layer of nostalgia mixed into your final gallery. If you love the look of 35mm film, you can add a roll or two to your coverage and receive those images alongside your digital photographs.
