Beautiful + Budget-Conscious | Thursday Wedding At Mountain House Estate

When Natalie and Sean started planning their wedding, they knew two things: they wanted an unforgettable celebration at Mountain House Estate in Cloverdale, and they wanted to be smart with their budget. The solution? A Thursday wedding that was every bit as magical, stylish, and joy-filled as any weekend affair—just with a little extra breathing room for their budget.

As a Mountain House Estate wedding photographer, I’ve captured this venue in every light and every season. From the stone archways and lush gardens to the sprawling oak tree ceremony space, it’s a dream location for couples who want romance, scenery, and flexibility.

Getting Ready: Full of Personality & Laughter

Natalie’s morning in the bridal suite was a mix of glamour and hilarious moments—surrounded by her best friends, beautiful bouquets, and more than a few laughs that will be retold for years. Sean and his groomsmen, rocking deep purple accents, brought a fun energy to their side of the getting-ready process. It set the tone for a day that was as much about joy and connection as it was about tradition.

Saying “I Do” Beneath the Oak

Their ceremony took place under Mountain House Estate’s iconic oak tree, with golden sunlight filtering through the leaves. Natalie was radiant in her beaded gown and veil, while Sean’s purple brocade jacket added a bold, personal touch. The bridal party’s black-and-gold palette gave the whole event a chic, modern edge against the natural backdrop.

Family, Friends, and a Four-Legged Guest

Mountain House Estate’s pet-friendly policy meant their sweet pup could be part of the festivities—dressed in a purple-and-gold scarf to match the wedding palette. Between the emotional vows, laughter, and spontaneous cheers from the crowd, the ceremony was perfectly them.

Reception Highlights: One for the Books

The reception was a nonstop celebration, but two moments stood out as some of my personal favorites in all my years photographing weddings:

  • The First Dance – Natalie and Sean’s first dance was the perfect mix of romance and personality. They had this magnetic way of looking at each other—like the rest of the world had disappeared. The way they moved together was effortless, joyful, and completely captivating to watch.

  • The Garter Toss – This wasn’t your average garter toss. Sean brought his signature humor and flair, turning the moment into an absolute showstopper. The guests were roaring with laughter, and Natalie’s playful reaction had everyone cheering. It was pure entertainment and pure “them.”

Why Natalie & Sean’s Thursday Wedding Was a Smart Move

  • Better vendor availability – Booking a Thursday meant they could lock in their dream team of vendors without competing for limited weekend dates.

  • Budget-friendly – Many venues and vendors offer lower rates for weekday events, freeing up budget for extras.

  • Relaxed timeline – Without the weekend rush, they could truly savor the day.

Mountain House Estate is one of my favorite venues to photograph—whether it’s a Thursday elopement or a weekend wedding. Natalie and Sean’s day is proof you can have a stunning, personality-filled wedding here without breaking the bank.
