One wedding trend I’m seeing more frequently, and that I’m a big fan of, is the idea of simplicity. Weddings can take on a life of their own if we let them, and sometimes the true meaning of the day gets lost in the chaos. This is why I love seeing more and more couples choose simplicity. That’s not to say you shouldn’t go all out on this monumental day. But, there are lots of ways to cut back and still have an unforgettable wedding celebration.
One way to simplify the big day is by choosing a lesser known venue. Depending on where you’re getting married, there are likely lists upon lists of possible locations to choose from. Don’t be afraid to stray from the more traditional setting of a church, winery, hotel, etc. If you keep an eye out, you may just stumble upon something special.
Ariel and Bryce had the most beautiful backyard wedding in Graton, CA, and I’m still smiling every time I think about it. The setting was beautiful and it ended up being the perfect place to gather family and friends in celebration.
This couple may have chosen a more simple wedding location, but there were still many details that made the day magical. The dessert bar, the personalized corn hole game, drinking out of a high heel shoe – Ariel and Bryce made every detail stand out.
This was one of those weddings that will stick with me for a long time. The happiness, joy and downright fun that their friends and family radiated was incredible.
Congrats to Ariel and Bryce! Take a look at their gallery here:
