When it comes to Sonoma County weddings, B.R. Cohn Winery is a dream venue—lush vineyards, golden light, and that quintessential wine country charm. As a seasoned B.R. Cohn wedding photographer, I’ve learned that the key to capturing stunning, stress-free images here is a well-paced timeline that flows naturally with the day.
Whether you’re planning a romantic spring wedding or a golden-hour fall celebration, here’s a sample timeline that works beautifully at B.R. Cohn Winery, paired with insights from my experience behind the lens.
B.R. Cohn Winery Wedding Timeline Example
12:00 PM – Getting Ready Begins
The day usually kicks off in one of the charming nearby accommodations or on-site prep spaces. I’ll start with flatlay details like your invitation suite, rings, and florals—then move on to candid moments as you and your wedding party get ready.
1:30 PM – Bride & Groom Final Touches
Hair and makeup should be wrapping up around now. I’ll capture robe shots, joyful toasts, and quiet moments as you prepare to step into your dress or suit.
2:00 PM – First Look & Portraits
If you’re doing a first look, the olive groves and vineyard paths at B.R. Cohn are perfect for an intimate reveal. Afterward, we’ll use this time for couple portraits and immediate family photos while the light is still soft and the mood is relaxed.
3:30 PM – Wedding Party Photos
With the first look complete, we can knock out wedding party portraits early. The winery’s scenic vistas provide multiple backdrops, from the wine barrel courtyard to the vine-covered hills.
4:30 PM – Ceremony at the Amphitheater Lawn
Guests begin arriving, and the energy builds. B.R. Cohn’s ceremony site, with its breathtaking vineyard views, is one of my favorites to photograph—especially when that golden hour light starts peeking in.
5:00 PM – Cocktail Hour
As guests enjoy signature drinks and hors d’oeuvres, I’ll capture candid mingling shots and sneak away with you for a few golden-hour portraits. This is when the magic light happens—don’t skip it!
6:00 PM – Reception Begins
Whether under a tent or al fresco beneath string lights, the reception here is always full of energy. From heartfelt toasts to your first dance beneath the stars, I’ll be there capturing it all naturally and unobtrusively.
8:00 PM – Cake Cutting & Dancing
Once the formalities wrap, it’s time to hit the dance floor! I’ll document the joy, laughter, and some serious dance moves as the party kicks off.
9:30 PM – Final Portraits or Sparkler Exit
Depending on your vibe, we can sneak in a few dreamy nighttime portraits or capture a sparkler exit to close out the evening.
Why B.R. Cohn Winery Is Ideal for Timeless Wedding Photography
B.R. Cohn isn’t just a venue—it’s a full sensory experience. The natural textures, open skies, and refined rustic charm make it a photographer’s playground. I’ve photographed weddings here in every season, and it always delivers. The winery’s layout also supports a smooth flow of events, which makes the timeline easy to follow without feeling rushed.
Whether you’re planning an elegant black-tie affair or a laid-back wine country weekend, your wedding day at B.R. Cohn deserves to be beautifully documented. If you’re searching for a B.R. Cohn Winery wedding photographer who knows the venue inside and out, I’d be honored to capture your day.
