If you’re dreaming of a wedding surrounded by Sonoma County’s natural beauty, golden light, and rustic charm—Olympia’s Valley Estate should be at the top of your list. And if you’re searching for a photographer to document your Olympia’s Valley wedding, you’re in the right place.
As a local Sonoma County photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to capture many love stories in Sonoma County—but Marissa and Seye’s celebration was truly unforgettable. Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of what makes Olympia’s Valley so special: sweeping landscapes, heartfelt moments, and timeless elegance wrapped in a relaxed, romantic setting.
Why Olympia’s Valley Estate Is a Photographer’s Dream
From a photography standpoint, Olympia’s Valley offers everything you could want:
-
Expansive golden fields for sunset portraits
-
A charming historic barn with character and texture
-
A dreamy weeping willow for ceremonies and shade
-
Rolling hills that glow during golden hour (especially in spring and summer!)
-
A peaceful pond and garden paths for variety in your portraits
Every corner of this venue feels intentional and photogenic, with natural light that flatters all skin tones and colors. As a photographer, I get giddy every time I shoot here—and your photos will reflect that joy.
Golden Hour Glory: Marissa & Seye’s Wedding
Marissa and Seye planned their day with golden hour portraits in mind, and we were gifted with that perfect warm May glow. We ventured into the back fields just before sunset, letting the light do its thing while they held hands, laughed, and soaked it all in.
But what made their day extra special? After their golden hour portraits, they changed into traditional Nigerian wedding attire, honoring Seye’s heritage with a second look that was as regal as it was meaningful. These two truly blended cultures, family, and love in a way that felt authentic and stylish. Their wedding is a perfect example of how you can have a wedding that reflects you—and still get stunning, timeless imagery.

Tips for Getting the Best Wedding Photos at Olympia’s Valley Estate
Whether you’re hiring me or another photographer, here are a few tips to get the most out of this venue:
🕐 Schedule time for golden hour portraits
The light out in the back pasture is unbeatable. Trust me—you’ll want that 15–20 minutes carved out on your timeline.
👗 Consider a second look or outfit change
If you’re planning to honor cultural traditions or want variety in your portraits, this venue is the perfect place to do it.
🌿 Work with an experienced planner
Coordinators like Lacey from Stacey Goods Events know this venue inside and out. Having someone who can handle all the logistics means more time for photos, more time to breathe, and more beautiful moments captured.
📍 Keep your ceremony close to golden hour if possible
The willow tree area gets lovely soft shade, but timing your ceremony toward late afternoon gives you the best shot at dreamy post-ceremony light.
